Spokesperson at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Tigran Balayan, has tweeted that the Armenian diplomats in Brussels and the Armenian National Assembly delegation, which is currently in the Belgian capital city, have not been affected by the blasts in the Brussels airport.

Balayan had earlier tweeted that Armenia’s Ambassador to Belgium, Tatoul Markarian, is following the developments.

And the Embassy of Armenia to Belgium, in turn, tweeted that all Brussels subway stations are closing, and urged people not to go to the airport and not to create traffic jams.

Eleven people were killed and more than 20 others were injured in the explosions that occurred Tuesday morning at Brussels Zaventem airport.

All flights are canceled, and the airport has been closed off.
