YEREVAN. – Negotiations are in progress with international organizations, and toward a complete transformation for the urban public transport system of Yerevan.
The mayor of Armenia’s capital city, Taron Margaryan, stated the aforesaid during his recent question-and-answer sessions with Yerevan residents.
“The [Yerevan] urban [public] transport needs comprehensive changes, and not partial changes or revisions, and this matter is on our agenda,” Margaryan noted. “The concept and approaches for the resolution of the key issue of [Yerevan public] transport are expected to be developed soon, and which, once ready, will be submitted to the public.
“The [respective] approaches include (…) approaches which will raise the Yerevan intercity [public] transport situation to international level.”
