The Embassy of Armenia to Belgium tweeted that, according to the Belgian authorities, at present, there are no Armenian citizens among the casualties in Tuesday’s terrorist acts in Brussels.
Earlier it was reported that the Armenian diplomats in the Belgian capital city, and the Armenian National Assembly delegation, which is currently in Brussels, have not been affected by the blasts.
Two explosions occurred Tuesday morning at Brussels Zaventem airport. The Belgian prosecutor’s office confirmed that a suicide bomber had carried out this attack.
Shortly thereafter, there were more explosions in the Schuman and Maalbeek subway stations of the Belgian capital city.
These terrorist acts have claimed 34 lives and injured over 200 people.
