The Azerbaijani leadership calls the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group co-chairing countries (Russia, US, and France) provocateurs, just because they propose to create a mechanism to investigate incidents of ceasefire violation.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Edward Nalbandian, stated the aforesaid at his talk Wednesday with the students and faculty at Artsakh State University, the main and the biggest public university in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh).   

“Actually, this criticism [by Azerbaijan] is directed not only at the [OSCE Minsk Group] co-chairs, but also, at least, at the present and past presiding countries in the OSCE, the UN, the European Union; in general, at all countries and organizations which supported and are supporting this proposal,” Nalbandian added.

In his words, the Azerbaijan authorities do not to despise accepting—and are even proud—that they are behind the ceasefire violations and the escalation of tension at the Karabakh conflict zone.

“The Azerbaijani leadership has lost the sense of reality,” the Armenian FM stressed. “And this applies not only to the Karabakh issue. (…) A kingdom of crooked mirrors is established in that country.”
