After the terrorist attacks that occurred Tuesday in Brussels, the Armenian parliamentary delegation, which is participating in the EuroNest Parliamentary Assembly (PA) session in the Belgian capital city, is looking for ways to return to Armenia. 

The secretary of Armenia’s opposition “Heritage” National Assembly Faction, Tevan Poghosyan, who is also a member of this delegation, on Wednesday told about the abovementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“When we will have final options, we will make a decision,” Poghosyan added.

In his words, the EuroNest PA session was conducted in an accelerated order, and the main work has been completed.

“Many speeches, which were to be [delivered], were removed,” the Armenian MP noted. “There were several topics that were to be discussed on the side; they likewise did not take place.”

Earlier it was reported that the Armenian diplomats in the Belgian capital city, and the Armenian National Assembly delegation, which is currently in Brussels, have not been affected by Tuesday’s blasts in Brussels.

According to the Belgian authorities, at present, there are no Armenian citizens among the casualties in these explosions.

Two explosions occurred Tuesday morning at Brussels Zaventem airport. The Belgian prosecutor’s office confirmed that a suicide bomber had carried out this attack.

Shortly thereafter, there were more explosions in the Schuman and Maalbeek subway stations of the Belgian capital city.

These terrorist acts have claimed 34 lives and injured over 200 people.
