YEREVAN. – A Georgian delegation, led by Minister of Foreign Affairs Mikheil Janelidze, on Friday paid a visit to the Armenian Genocide Memorial, in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan.

The Georgian FM was accompanied by Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Harutyunyan, Armenian Ambassador to Georgia Yuri Vardanyan, and Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Deputy Director Suren Manukyan, informed the Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter at the scene.

Janelidze laid a wreath at the memorial, and placed flowers near the Eternal Flame in memory of the innocent victims of the first genocide of the 20th century.

To note, however, Georgia has not formally recognized the Armenian Genocide.
