Moscow hopes that air communication with Egypt will be restored by the beginning of summer, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said, TASS reports.

Russia and Egypt are actively working in this direction.

"Work is in progress, let’s hope flights will resume by summer. Security specialists are cooperating closely", Bogdanov declared.

The Russian authorities have imposed a ban on flights to Egypt on November 6, 2015. The reason for this decision was the attack on the A321 Kogalymavia aircraft. As a result of the terrorist attack, all 224 passengers and crew members were killed.
