The secondary school of Dashtadem village in Armenia’s Lori Province has not had a graduate for the past six years.

School principal Sergey Aghajanyan says they will have a graduate in 2018, if, of course, the current only 10th grader of the school wishes to continue studies in the village.

In the principal’s words, at present, there are twelve students in this school, and in recent years, this number ranged from eleven to thirteen.

In the huge school building that was constructed in the 1930s, the classrooms are quite big for the classes that have solely one to three students. That is why classes are conducted simultaneously for two to three grades, in the same classroom.

The number of teachers in this school is also higher than the number of its students. Currently the school has sixteen teachers.

The secondary school of Dashtadem village, however, still needs teachers for Armenian Language and Literature, Chess, Physics, Chemistry, and several other subjects.
