Turkish side actively works on organization of a meeting between president of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan and U.S. leader Barack Obama, spokesperson for Turkish president Ibrahim Cullen said.
According to the website of the Turkish Milliyet newspaper, Cullen commented on media reports that Obama refused to meet with Erdogan.
The press secretary of the head of Turkey mentioned that the publications in the press have speculative character as the authorities of the country actively work on the organization of the Obama-Erdogan meeting.
Earlier The Wall Street Journal reported that Obama had rejected a personal meeting with Erdogan.
President of Turkey will be in the US from 29 March to 2 April to attend the Nuclear Security Summit.
