YEREVAN. – It can be assumed that the Azerbaijani lobbying continues at the EuroNest Parliamentary Assembly (PA).

The secretary of Armenia’s opposition “Heritage” National Assembly (NA) Faction, Tevan Poghosyan, who is also a member of the Armenian NA delegation to the EuroNest PA, on Tuesday told the abovementioned to reporters in Parliament. He noted this summing up the results of the recent EuroNest PA session in Brussels.

In his words, even though Azerbaijan has informed about coming out of EuroNest and there were no Azerbaijani MPs at the said EuroNest PA session in the Belgian capital city, statements on “occupied territories” had continued there, but without being specific.

“Such vague wordings could be used in the future, and we [i.e. the Armenian delegation] have always tried to convey this to our colleagues,” Poghosyan added. “As a result, we came to a consensus that Armenia’s interests must be respected.”
