Turkey supports Georgia’s territorial integrity, Turkish President Abdullah Gul told the reporters on the sidelines of the 65th session of the UN General Assembly, Georgian mass media reports.

Gul stressed Turkey and Georgia are good friends. “I am unaware whether conflicts in Georgia will be a matter for debate in the UN, but it is clear Turkey supports Georgia’s territorial integrity,” he said.

Georgian President Mikheil Sakashvili will deliver a speech at the debates in the UN. He is expected to place emphasis on conflicts in Georgia and existing threats in the country.
