YEREVAN. – The head of Armenia’s opposition “Heritage” National Assembly Faction, Zaruhi Postanjyan, is confident that the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission) of the Council of Europe supports the publicizing of the lists of the persons who have voted in the country’s elections.

“We don’t have any specific document, any expert conclusion, which says that they are against the publicizing of the voted [persons’] list,” Postanjyan said at a press conference on Wednesday.

In her words, the Venice Commission does not have such a document on Armenia.

She added that, during her talk with representatives of the Venice Commission, she got the impression that they favor making these lists public.

One of the main demands of Armenia’s political opposition is the publicizing of the lists of the persons who have cast ballots in the elections in the country, whereas the authorities consider this to be unconstitutional.
