YEREVAN. - The working meeting of the representatives of Armenian authorities, opposition and civil society on the draft Electoral Code of Armenia is over.
The meeting lasted for over three hours, as reported by Armenian News – NEWS.am correspondent. According to the Chairman of Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs, Hovhannes Sahakyan, the next meeting in this format will take place on April 1. It will last from 5:30 pm till 6:00 pm.
At the meeting, the authorities were represented by Minister - Chief of Armenian Government Staff Davit Harutyunyan, Justice Minister Arpine Hovhannisyan, NA Chief of Staff Hrayr Tovmasyan, head of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) parliamentary faction Armen Rustamyan, the faction secretary Aghvan Vardanyan and Chairman of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Hovhannes Sahakyan.
Leader of Prosperous Armenia Party and its faction Naira Zohrabyan, Orinats Yerkir Party MP Hovhannes Margaryan and head of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) parliamentary faction Levon Zurabyan represented the opposition.
The public sector representatives included Transparency International Anti-Corruption Center representative Sona Ayvazyan, human rights defenders Tigran Yegoryan and Artak Zaynalyan, as well as civic activist Daniel Ioannisyan.
