YEREVAN. - The correction of the voter lists in Armenia will cost roughly $2.5-4 mln.
Chief of Armenian Government Staff - Minister Davit Harutyunyan said the aforementioned at the open meeting with the representatives of government, opposition and civil society, during which draft Electoral Code of Armenia was discussed.
Touching on the proposal of the Secretary of Armenian National Congress (ANC) parliamentary faction Aram Manukyan, Harutyunyan noted that spending $1 mln on the implementation of this program is unrealistic in Armenia. If the international organizations allocate enough money, he continued, it will be possible to correct the voter lists following the example of Georgia.
“If this is done, we won’t have any objections,” Harutyunyan said, adding that the authorities don’t wish to deal with this senseless matter.
