Moscow is in constant contact with the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, in connection with the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) official representative Maria Zakharova stated, according to RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation is in constant touch with the leadership of the MFAs of Azerbaijan and Armenia,” the Russian MFA website quoted Zakharova saying.

She noted that Moscow is extremely concerned by the major tension in the situation at the Karabakh conflict zone, and that the Russian MFA calls for restraint by the parties to this conflict and an immediate stop to the military clashes.
