STEPANAKERT. - Military actions continue on the Karabakh-Azerbaijani Line of Contact. Besides the weapons used previously, during the day the adversary started applying also TOS-1 multiple rocket launchers, drones and other modern military equipment. However, even after this the Azerbaijani Armed Forces didn’t manage to change the developments in their favor, the Karabakh Defense Army press-service reports.
Conversely, the Defense Army subdivisions located in all the directions were not only successful in positional battles, but also destroyed five tanks, three drones, as well as different types of equipment and nearly dozens of manpower thanks to their literate and targeted actions, the statement reads.
“Perhaps this success achieved by us forced Azerbaijani military leadership to make such an unbalanced statement, according to which they threaten to bomb civilian settlement of Artsakh Republic, specifically capital city Stepanakert.
Karabakh Defense Ministry warns personally Hasanov and his “supreme”that the response to such developments will be non-equivalent and more painful,” the statement says.
The situation at the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone dramatically escalated in the early morning hours on April 2. From regular shootings and frequent sabotage-reconnaissance attempts, Azerbaijan switched to large-scale attacks all along the Karabakh-Azerbaijan Line of Contact, using a variety of weaponry as well as artillery, armored vehicles, and air force. Both sides have suffered casualties.
