Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called upon the parties to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to maintain the agreement to cease fire, according to RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.
“We are concerned by the escalation of the situation in the Karabakh conflict zone,” Lavrov stated. “We urge the parties to maintain the agreement reached toward immediately stopping military clashes, preventing a breach of this agreement, and, of course, we are interested that a positive change is recorded also in the political domain, to achieve an agreement in the settlement of this quite complicated conflict.”
