STEPANAKERT. - Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) President Bako Sahakyan today had a meeting with the Armenian National Assembly (NA) Deputy Chairman Eduard Sharmazanov and a group of deputies from Greek and Latvian parliaments, who have arrived in Artsakh on the same day.

The meeting addressed issues related to the military operations recently launched by Azerbaijan against Karabakh, Karabakh President’s press-service reports.

Sahakyan highly appreciated the efforts exerted by different countries towards the peaceful resolution of the conflict, as well as condemnation of aggression by the representatives of their political and public circles. This as a manifestation of principled stance and humanism, the president said.

At the same he noted that the international community must give a tough and targeted assessment to the Azerbaijani military and destructive policy, stressing the significance of relevant assessments in terms of deterring aggression.

NKR National Assembly deputy chairman Vahram Balayan, the Ambassador of Armenia to Greece Gagik Ghalachyan and other dignitaries also attended the meeting.
