YEREVAN. - The Energy Ministers of Armenia, Georgia, Iran and Russia will meet in Yerevan Wednesday. The meeting will be the continuation of the four-party talks launched in December, when the energy ministers of the first three countries and Director General of “Rosseti” JSC (operator of Russian electric networks) met in Yerevan.

The Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak is also expected to attend the meeting, Spokesperson for Russian Energy Ministry Olga Golant told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

During the previous meeting, the sides signed a memorandum of cooperation for creating common energy corridor.

In August 2015, the construction of the third 400 kW power transmission line between Armenia and Iran was launched. It is funded by the Export Development Bank of Iran (EDBI), Iranian Sunir company being its contractor.
