YEREVAN. – “It is not ruled out that the adversary [i.e. Azerbaijan] planned to carry out certain operations, but all their movements are under the supervision of our reconnaissance,” Movses Hakobyan, Deputy chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, said Tuesday on the air of a TV channel, according to Haykakan Zhamanak daily.

“In his interview given to Zhame newscast, Hakobyan admitted that the [recent] ceasefire [arrangement] in Moscow was reached at the request of Azerbaijan, [and at the time] when the Armenian [army] divisions [of Nagorno-Karabakh] were launching a counterattack and moving forward,” Haykakan Zhamanak wrote.
