STEPANAKERT. – Azerbaijan disseminated information on one missing soldier.
Viktor Kocharyan, Head of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh) State Commission for Prisoners of War, Captives and Missing People, on Tuesday told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
“The International Committee of the Red Cross representatives conveyed the verbal information to me,” Kocharyan said. “[But] the accuracy of this information is being checked. If it turns out that the [person] found is indeed our missing soldier, the process of receiving the body will be promptly organized.”
Earlier, Kocharyan had told Armenian News-NEWS.am that the Armenian side had 19 missing, as a result of the four-day war along the Karabakh-Azerbaijan Line of Contact, the bodies of 18 of these missing were handed over to the Armenian side, but the fate one soldier remained unknown.
NKR Defense army company commander, Captain Argishti Gaboyan, 23, is considered missing since the hostilities that occurred between April 2 and 5.
