YEREVAN. – President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, who is also Chairman of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Collective Security Council, on Friday received a CSTO delegation, led by CSTO Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha.
The delegation has arrived in Armenia attend Friday’s session of the CSTO Military Committee.
The Presidential Press Office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that the discussants briefed Sargsyan on the matters that are on the agenda of this meeting.
Next, the interlocutors exchanged views on the ongoing activities toward increasing the efficiency of the CSTO Joint Staff.
Also, they reflected on the situation in recent days along the Karabakh-Azerbaijan Line of Contact, and as a result of the military actions unleashed by Azerbaijan.
At the end of the talk, Armenian President Sargsyan and CSTO Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha held a tête-à-tête, during which Bordyuzha reported to Sargsyan on the current steps being taken by this organization. They also conferred on Armenia’s CSTO Chairmanship.
