YEREVAN. – Russia will soon consider Yerevan’s invitation to visit Nagorno-Karabakh and get familiarized with the situation, on location.

Alexei Kondratiev, a member of the Russian Federation Council (senate) Committee on Defence and Security, on Saturday noted the abovementioned while visiting the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.

“The position of the Armenian side suits us on several matters, and most of the work here depends on our colleagues, in the sense that we don’t make one-person decisions,” Kondratiev said, in particular. “We will report about the Armenian side’s proposal to our [Russian] colleagues, discuss it together, weigh from all angles, and make a [respective] joint statement together with the Armenian side.”

Koryun Nahapetyan, Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs, on Friday had invited the Russian senators for a visit to the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh), to get acquainted on location with the consequences of the most recent Azerbaijani military aggression.
