The number of voters in Armenia depends on two important factors: emigration and strengthening of Russia’s positions in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), particularly in Armenia, the political expert Armen Balayan told reporters on September 27. There are voters with certain political views, voters without political views and wavering ones, he said.

As regards the Country of Law and Heritage parties, he pointed out they are leaders. However, after the Country of Law party defected to the authorities, it “ruined” its electorate. “When you ruin your image, you lose your electorate,” he said.

The same can be said of the Heritage Party leader Raffi Hovhannisyan. “He had no image at all. He was a new person, and wavering voters are normally inclined to vote for a new candidate. However, have you seen him in the political arena or what he has done during this year?” asked Balayan.

According to him, the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) has exhausted its potential.

The PR expert Karen Kocharyuan, in turn, disagreed with Balayan’s opinion on the ARF. According to him, the ARF has supporters, as well as a chance to get into Parliament.
