Russia’s decision not to supply Iran with missile systems is a mere game, Richard Giragosian, Director of the Armenian Center for National and International Studies (ACNIS) told the reporters on Monday, commenting on Russian President Dmitry Medvedev’s decision not to sell weapons to Iran.
According to the expert, Iran has recently purchased systems from Ukraine and Belarus, not without Russia’s consent.
Referring to the Iran’s nuke program, Giragosian said the nuclear weapon is dangerous for Armenia. According to him, as an active country Armenia should increase efforts in the region for the issue to be solved through diplomacy. According to him, the radiation of nuclear weapon is a threat to the region, as Iran is not “a stable, predictable” country.
“I do not want my daughter to illuminate at night,” Giragosian stressed.
