YEREVAN. – Nagorno-Karabakh’s absence in the negotiation process does not change anything, Caucasus Institute Deputy Director, analyst Sergey Minasyan, said at a press conference on Tuesday.

In his words, however, Nagorno-Karabakh still remains a diplomatic and politico-military factor, and Azerbaijan knows that the Armenian side’s view includes the position of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh).

“[But] given the [present-day] tense situation, it is certainly difficult to expect a meeting in the near future, not only at the level of the FMs of Armenia and Azerbaijan, but even a meeting of the NGOs of these countries, at [the level of] people’s diplomacy,” Minasyan added.
