Iranians are already beginning to consider the Caucasus region as a zone, were a military strike may come. This opinion was expressed by an expert on political conflicts, a member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation and TV host  Maxim Shevchenko during a meeting with journalists from the North and the South Caucasus, organized by the RIA Novosti news agency.

Shevchenko called upon the Armenians and Azerbaijanis from the fate of becoming an instrument in the hands of Western politicians to use pressure directed against the Tehran government. “We need to take into account the deteriorating situation around Iran, which has not only its personal direct political interest in the region, but also maintains relations with both Armenia and Azerbaijan. The situation around Iran is so complex that it complicated the region that the collective stranglehold of Tehran, which is happening now – it’s just a direct path to war”- he said.
