Russian blogger and designer Artemiy Lebedev told of his impressions after ethnographic expedition to the Caucasus.

In a story titled “Absurdity and Refinements of Azerbaijani-Russian Border” Lebedev touched upon crossing of the Azerbaijani border, calling it “ridiculous”.  “There are palaces with air conditioning, but relations and conduct are backwards” he wrote, adding that he had to wait 30 minutes for his papers and was asked to pay 800 rubles (allegedly for insurance, but without a receipt).

Talking about crossing the Armenian-Georgian border, the author calls it a “miracle”. According to the blogger, he had to spend three hours on Azerbaijani-Georgian border and three minutes on the Armenian-Georgian one.  “It took us three minutes to cross the border, customs officer filled in all the papers himself and quickly inspected the vehicles,” he said.
