The motorways in Armenia are not the best in the world, to put it mildly.

Even though some repair work is done on the “main” roads, the others have been neglected.

A vivid case in point is the Dilijan-Vanadzor motorway, which links Lori and Tavush Provinces and is a very important.

But this “road” can be traveled along only with great caution, since the situation there is even perilous. Some pits on this motorway are even several centimeters deep. 

About a few weeks ago, road repair workers began digging artificial pits to partially asphalt the motorway thereafter. The asphalting, however, has not yet gotten underway.

Strategic objects—such as roads—have no right to be in such a deplorable condition in a country that lives under the conditions of an undeclared war.
