YEREVAN. -- War is a terrible thing, and the worst thing is when civilians are killed, said the Russian Ambassador to Armenia Ivan Volinkin in his interview with Armenian News - NEWS.am.

To the question whether he believes that unaddressed statements of the international community are encouraging Azerbaijan to implement terrorist acts similar to ones of the Islamic State (in April the Azerbaijani servicemen killed a 12 -year-old child; they killed the elderly cutting their ears, crippled bodies of the Armenian servicemen), Ivan Volinkin said "War is a terrible thing. I am currently working in Armenia. Armenia is not the first state, which is close to ongoing military operations. I had to work in Yugoslavia during the fighting. War is a terrible thing, and when civilians are killed, that is the worst. Militaries are the militaries, but the civilians have no faults in anything."
