The acting President of Brazil Michel Temer, who took that position after the President Dilma Rousseff’s temporary removal, passed political information   to the US Embassy, reports Lenta based on the WikiLeaks publication entitled “From the US State Department diplomatic cables.”

" Michel Temer who overthrew the President of Brazil Dilma Rousseff was reporting secret political information to US intelligence services ," says WikiLeaks’ Twitter. 

The telegrams uploaded by WikiLeaks go back to 2006 when Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Rousseff's predecessor, was the president of the country.

Telegrams include data on distribution of political forces in Brazil , activities of a number of parties, evaluation of chances of certain parties to win the seats, and characteristics of potential alliances.  Temer, who was  at that time a member of Congress , informed the US about the situation in the country and passed his viewpoint about it.

Temer particularly was frustrated by the fact that then ruling Workers' Party stole state funds, as he said, not only for personal gains, but also for expanding the influence of the party. The politician criticized then president Lulu 's in his descriptions for the fact that he was paying “too much attention" to the social programs that in Temper’s opinion did not  contribute to the economic growth and development of the country.
