There were 30 Egyptians and 15 French onboard the EgyptAir liner which has disappeared over the Mediterranean Sea, the Ministry of Aviation of Egypt reported.
In the plane there were also one British citizen, one Belgian, two Iraqi citizens and one citizen of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Chad, Portugal, Algeria and Canada each, RIA Novosti reported.
According to the authorities, the touch with an airliner was lost at 2.30 am (4.30 in Yerevan), when the plane was over the Mediterranean Sea, 280 kilometers from the Egyptian coast. The plane has allegdly fallen in the sea, search operation is underway.
In total 66 people were on the aboard EgyptAir airlines, flying from Paris to Cairo. The EgyptAir airline established the emergency operational staff.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Tigran Balayan tweeted that according to preliminary data there were no Armenian citizens among the passengers and the crew of the lost plane.
