YEREVAN. – The relations between Armenia and Iran can serve as an example for those regional countries that practice hatred, Armenian-hatred and Iranian-hatred, Iranian Studies specialist Vardan Voskanyan stated on Friday.

In his words, Iran, despite being a leading country of the Islamic world, maintains excellent relations with a traditional Christian country, like Armenia.

“Relations between Armenia and Iran are developing in an exclusively positive direction,” added Voskanyan. “Over the past 25 years, they [i.e. the relations] have become a unique phase of Armenian-Iranian relations. A phase, in which the two countries can successfully show how two states with different political and religious systems are able to build exemplary relations.”
