The treatment of the Armenian serviceman Ruben Arakelyan, wounded during the April war in Karabakh, is planned to start at the German University Clinic of Bonn on June 13, Ruben’s relatives told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

Thanks to the efforts of Armenia’s Defense and Health Ministries, the necessary 40,000 euro amount has already been transferred to the German clinic. Now Ruben’s relatives are looking for an airline company which could organize his transportation to Germany, where the specialists are waiting for him and have even appointed the dates for the first procedures.

19-year-old Ruben got a serious spine injury; his limbs are actually paralyzed now. But the German doctors, who got familiarized with his medical files, said that it will most probably be possible to partially recover his mobility and help him become more independent.

In the relatives’ words, personally Ruben pins great hopes on Germany and is looking forward to the day when he will start his treatment there.
