YEREVAN. – The university entrance examinations on the subjects of Armenian Language and Armenian Literature have kicked off Tuesday in Armenia. (photo)

This year more than 6,000 applicants, out of 11,375 applicants, are writing exams in these subjects.

Minister of Education and Science Levon Mkrtchyan visited the examination center of a school in capital city Yerevan, and followed the course of the exam, the Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter informed from the scene.

The minister told reporters that, unlike previous years, there is no respective social tension this year.

Many people complain every year about the Armenian Language and Armenian Literature university entrance exams, and due to their level of difficulty.
