If you want peace, prepare for war, stated Nagorno-Karabakh Republic National Assembly (NKR/Artsakh NA) member Eduard Aghabekyan.

The NKR MP noted the aforesaid commenting, at the request of Armenian News-NEWS.am, on Russian Armenian political scientist Karine Gevorgyan’s prediction that another escalation in tension at the Karabakh conflict zone should be expected in August, when Azerbaijan will attempt to disrupt the gathering of harvest.

“The situation can change at any time, not only in August,” said Aghabekyan. “Each day that distances us from the signing of the peace treaty brings [us] closer to a new war; this is our destiny. We shall always be ready.”

In his words, if Azerbaijan feels that it can succeed by military means, it will look to neither Russia nor France.

“The realization of this fact shall be the cornerstone of our actions,” concluded the Artsakh NA deputy.
