YEREVAN. – Deputy Head of State Revenue Committee Vakhtang Mirumyan stated that the excise duty on vodka and cigarettes will rise in Armenia in 2018-21. He made the statement submitting the draft of the tax code in Armenian parliament on Thursday.
A 15% annual increase in duties (the code will come into force from 2018),will harmonize the rates with those in other republics of the Eurasian Union.
“However, our rates will still be 20% lower by 2021,” Mirumyan said.
