What happened in Kungur region of Russia’s Perm Krai cannot but be named mysticism: Lake Peshera, located not far from Nikolichi village, has disappeared.

According to the local residents, the lake was in its place in late April. The beginning of May already revealed a small pool and land, which had cracked from the burning sun.   

The pond was 80 meters long. A small pit can be seen by the shore located from the side of the forest through which the water supposedly flowed away, Informing reports.

The witnesses are now lost in guesses, giving different explanations to the happening.   One of them says that last year’s earthquake in Sverdlovks Oblast is to blame for everything. Others are sure that the petroleum engineers’ activities impacted the disappearance of Peshera.

Small pits in these areas are a common phenomenon, but the disappearance of the lake did frighten the local residents. Many of them think now the turn of Lake Lyubimovo has come, from which potable water is taken.
