YEREVAN. - The land and property taxes will be combined in Armenia,  Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) Vakhtang Mirumyan said in the Armenian Parliament Thursday, introducing the new draft Tax Code.

The single property tax does not suppose growth of tax load and will become only a mechanical consolidation of the two taxes.

If the land tax rates are fixed by the Government every year, now the latter will fix the rates of the new tax as well, Mirumyan added.

He also noted that in the recent 10-15 years, the Government hasn’t raised the land tax, retaining it at the same level every year.
