YEREVAN. - The spring session of the 2016 Armenian parliament has ended. As in the previous years, significant part of the MPs was busy making political speeches rather than studying the bills.  

Consequently, significant part of those bills has not yet been discussed.  Among them is the most important bill for the Armenian economy, namely the Tax Code.  Its discussion was interrupted by the end of the session. Therefore, in order to finish the work on this and a number of other documents, an extraordinary session will be convened on June 13.

It will address the bill on the further enhancement of the administrative and territorial division (the launch of this reform struck a negative chord with the country’s villages).
