YEREVAN. – Armenia’s trade turnover with Uzbekistan amounted to $4 million, last year.

Garegin Melkonyan, the First Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia, on Friday stated the aforesaid in the National Assembly.

“In 2015, we exported goods totaling $2.4 million,” said Melkonyan. “We mostly export [to Uzbekistan] medicine manufactured in Armenia. Mostly passenger cars were imported from Uzbekistan to Armenia.

“Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus, alike, have already established a free trade agreement regimen with Uzbekistan, and Armenia is also joining it, since it is expedient for us.”
