Ambassador James Warlick, the US Co-Chair of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe’s (OSCE) Minsk Group, has told APA news agency of Azerbaijan that he will attend the Nagorno-Karabakh summit in Saint Petersburg, Russia.

The Minsk Group US co-chair stressed his hope that the sides will follow up on the outcomes of the May 16 meeting in Vienna.

“I look forward to attending the June 20 meeting as the US Minsk Group co-chair,” said Warlick. “Specifically, we are hopeful the sides will finalize an agreement to implement an OSCE investigative mechanism and agree to resume negotiations on a comprehensive settlement.”

First, Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet separately with Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Ilham Aliyev, in Saint Petersburg on June 20. Subsequently, the talks will continue in a trilateral format.
