YEREVAN. – Karabakh is Armenian land, stated Karabakh War veteran, Soviet military commander, Armenian political and military figure Norat Ter-Grigoryants, at a press conference on Friday.

In his words, the Karabakh issue is the top priority for Armenians, since genocide may begin there.

“Azerbaijan’s policy aims to remove the Armenian people from Karabakh,” said Ter-Grigoryants. “The people of Karabakh can never live within Azerbaijan, since we have seen during the four-day war [which Azerbaijan had unleashed against Karabakh in early April] how they [i.e. the Azerbaijanis] were cutting off heads and ears. It’s a terrorist state, which supports Turkey’s policy.” He added that the Azerbaijani president himself had stated this.

Norat Ter-Grigoryants maintained that Turkey has created the Islamic State, together with Saudi Arabia.

“And during the events of April, there were several dozen terrorists in the Karabakh conflict zone,” he added.
