YEREVAN. – The Seedstars Yerevan 2016 information technology (IT) contest will be held on Saturday in the capital city of Armenia, and it will offer new opportunities for the IT startups of the country.

“The winner will represent Armenia at the contest to be held in Switzerland,” said Artashes Vardanyan, Director of Microsoft Innovation Center—one of the organizers of this contest—at a press conference on Thursday.

Seedstars World Regional Manager Igor Ovcharenko, for his part, stated that he has great expectations from this contest, since the IT sector is developing by the year in Armenia.

And Vahe Baloulian, CEO of BetConstruct company, noted that they are sponsoring this contest because they are eager to support IT startups, considering the difficulties which the respective Armenian companies face.
