Iran has completed the construction of a 611-km-long section of the gas main, which is to be connected to the Turkish gas transmission system under a project of the gas supply to Europe, reported the Mehr agency.

This August, NIGES (Iran) and Som Petrol (Turkey) signed a contract worth about U.S. €1bn to continue the construction of the 1,300-km-long Dehgolan – Bazargan gas main, designed for gas export to Europe. Under the contract, the Turkish company was to invest €754m in the project (77% of the total amount).
