Turkey is ready to cooperate with Russia in the fight against the ISIS but the use of  Incirlik’s air base by Russia has not been raised, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Causogllu announced at a meeting of the Cabinet.

He said that the Turkish media misunderstood the statement that he did earlier and that was reflected in the Russian media.

Currently, Ankara allowed using the Incirlik Air Force Base to U.S., Germany, the UK, Qatar, Saudi Arabia.

Earlier, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Causogllu stated that Ankara could permit Russia to use Incirlik air base for the operations against the terrorists of the Islamic Sate.

In turn, Russia’s State Duma said Turkey's proposal to use Incirlik air base is a friendly step.

The Kremlin announced that official negotiations on granting the Russian Federation access to base Incirlik are not conducted.
