The Russian system of state oversight of alcoholic beverage production and circulation (Unified State Automated Information System (USAIS)) will not create problems for Armenian brandy.

Vadim Drobiz, Director of the Research Center for Federal and Regional Alcohol Markets of Russia, told the aforementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am, commenting on the USAIS introduction in Russia, as of July 1.

As per Drobiz, this system will help the Russian government monitor the circulation, and therefore prevent falsification of alcoholic beverages. 

The analyst admitted that almost everything is forged in Russia.

“Undoubtedly, they are counterfeiting Armenian brandy, too, albeit I haven’t seen media reports about it,” added Drobiz. “[But] we need not to worry about an increase in the prices of alcohol, since the cost price of the Unified State Automated Information System is worth [only] pennies, with the bottle recount.”
