YEREVAN. – The information on Armenia’s real estate market for the month of May was made public several days ago. 

Accordingly, the increase in the average market price of the country’s apartments and houses is quite negligible.

A similar pattern was also recorded in Yerevan. We can especially single out the Kentron (Central) downtown district of the capital city, where real estate prices remain on the same level.

The apartments in this district, however, are not particularly in demand due to their unreasonably high prices for an ordinary buyer. In addition, both the buyer and the seller are not so interested in declaring the actual price of the sale and purchase deal of an expensive apartment. 

From May 2011 to May 2016, the US dollar appreciated by 1.2 times in Armenia. This has led to a noticeable decrease in real estate prices in terms of this currency, whereas an increase in terms of the Armenian national currency, the dram.
