On October 7, the OSCE Field Assessment Mission arrived in Nagorno-Karabakh. The Co-Chairs will meet with NKR President Bako Sahakyan in Stepanakert.
OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Igor Popov (Russia), Bernard Fassier (France) and Robert Bradtke (U.S.), as well as OSCE Personal Representative of the Chairman-in-Office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk arrived in Karabakh from Yerevan where they met with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian. Prior to Yerevan, the Co-Chairs visited Baku as well.
As NEWS.am reported earlier, in the course of their meeting with Armenian President, the mediators presented results of the discussions held in Azerbaijan and the program of forthcoming Field Assessment Mission in the Karabakh conflict zone. The Co-Chairs reconfirmed that situation in Nagorno-Karabakh regions controlled by Azerbaijan will be studied at the next stage. They stressed that would visit Nakhchivan at the first opportunity to get familiar with the situation in Jugha where tens thousands of Armenian monuments were destroyed.
