A district hall in Turkey refused to provide a coffin for the burial of a young man who had killed three police officers, and then committed suicide.

Hüseyin Doğukan Erdoğan, 17, who had shot and killed the police officers during an argument in Şanlıurfa Province and then killed himself, was laid to rest in Pınarbaşı district of Kayseri Province, reported Milliyet daily of Turkey.

The young man’s funeral, however, was noteworthy because the cleric of the local mosque refused to hold a memorial service for the deceased, and the district hall did not provide a coffin for him.

As a result, the youth’s body was buried wrapped in a blanket, and with the attendance of only several relatives.
